In addition, an award was given to Margaret “Peggy” Lambert, a former advisor for Lone Star College-Kingwood’s chapter of Phi Theta Kappa. The original award was lost in Hurricane Harvey.
After serving Lone Star College-Kingwood for the past 12 years, President Katherine B. Persson has officially announced her retirement as LSC-Kingwood’s President. Lone Star College- Kingwood Coyotes against the Lone Star College- North Harris Hurricanes for a basketball game. The Coyotes are undefeated before and after this game occurred. The game ended with Kingwood Coyotes scoring 68 points and the North Harris Hurricanes scoring 43 points.
The Poetry, Music and Songwriting club hosts a spooky Halloween bash for the students. Events include a Halloween costume contest, free pizza, and a talent show. Students and faculty took the Halloween spirit to heart and dressed up in horrifying and dazzling costumes such as Día de los Muertos, pirates, and scientific witches.
