The race for the presidential election has begun and here is the list of the candidates who want your vote in order to get there.
On the Democratic side there are 20 politicians, some of whom you may recognize. Their names are Michael Bennet, Joe Biden, Cory Booker, Steve Bullock, Pete Buttigieg, Julián Castro, Bill de Blasio, John Delaney, Tulsi Gabbard, Kamala Harris, Amy Klobuchar, Wayne Messam, Beto O’Rourke, Tim Ryan, Bernie Sanders, Joe Sestak, Tom Steyer, Elizabeth Warren, Marianne Williamson and Andrew Yang.
On the Republican side, there are only four that have announced their presidential campaign and they are Mark Sanford, President Donald J. Trump, Joe Walsh and William F. Weld.
Of course, these lists will shorten as candidates drop out one by one until the primaries next year. Remember though, in order to vote you have to be a registered voter. Also, remember to read a little about each candidate so you know whether or not their ideas and policies actually match your own. It is important to stay informed and contribute to issues that can affect your community and others.
