The holidays are a wonderful time. What could be more magical and happy than all the twinkling lights, warm drinks, and ornaments? The holidays can also be an incredibly stressful time, and the last thing anyone would want to add to that is the difficulty of trying to gift wrap. Here are some easy ways to simplify and diversify gift wrapping this holiday season.
- Gift wrapping using junk mail.
All you need for this is some of your old junk mail, scissors, tape, and a pretty ribbon if you want. You’ll need to glue pieces of junk mail together to create the size of the present. Then, fold in the ends and tape them together. Now you have a uniquely wrapped gift that will catch anyone’s eye under the Christmas tree.
- Gift wrapping using cloth.
Gift wrapping with cloth is one of the easiest ways to go. All you have to do is spread out the cloth underneath the present, then tie caddy corners of the cloth together and you’re all done.
- Gift wrap using yarn.
Admittedly, you do have to be a little bit more patient for this gift wrapping technique. If you have a small enough gift, you can wrap yarn around it. This can be a very fun gift to unwrap since they have to unspool the yarn.
- Gift wrap using a paper bag.
If you have some extra brown bags around your house, you can gift wrap easily with these. You can decorate the gift with stickers, washi tape, or ribbons. This is a technique you can really make your own.
- Gift wrap using a box.
Many people may shy away from this technique because of how simplistic it is. After all, you can buy a box at a store and be done with it all. However, you can have a lot of fun with this one. You can draw designs on a solid colored box or tie a bow around it and it will look just as unique and pretty as other designs around the Christmas tree.
The holidays can be incredibly stressful, but hopefully with a couple of ideas about how to gift wrap, you are itching to get to it. So gather up your scissors and tape, and have at it. Your presents will be the talk of the town with these fun ideas.
